Unit 1 - Introduction to Psychology

Students will gain a foundational understanding of psychology, the schools of thought within it, the careers one can get with the degree, and will learn more about the founders of the science.

Project
Students will create a pamphlet about a career in psychology from one of the major career fields listed in chapter 1, section 2. The five things necessary for a successful completion of the project are:
• Definition of career
• What field does it fall under
• Salary given (major cities + salary in a city like Dumas) + benefits behind career explained
• Education needed in order to get into career explained
• What someone in this career does on a typical day is explained

Attached is the rubric. It is due on August 31.
